Metallurgical Solutions
Metallurgical Solutions consists of three commercial brands:

Tecnosulfur,
which specialize in custom designing chemical solutions for hot metal desulfurization, slag conditioning and fluxing, cored-wire treatments, and process optimization equipment and technologies. With a presence in most of North America’s steel mills, Opta Group continues to expand into new markets and adjacent industries.
QUAB Chemicals and
Carbide Industries
make up our Specialty Chemical division. QUAB Chemicals are cationizing reagents that are used in personal care items, paper and packaging. Carbide Industries produces acetylene gas for cutting and welding, acetylene derivatives for consumer products, and calcium hydroxide which is used in environmental engineering and road construction.

The Performance Additives division is leading the world in recycled glass processing.
OPTA Glass
focuses on replacing conventional supplementary cementitious materials in concrete mixes with ground glass. Replacing cement with ground glass enhances the performance of the concrete, reduces cost, and improves sustainability.
