He brings extensive leadership experience in driving business transformation, operational excellence, and strategic growth. Before joining Opta, Rob served as Vice President of Financial Reporting and later as Chief Financial Officer at SunOpta Inc. Earlier in his career, he held financial leadership roles with Magna Entertainment Corp. and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. As CEO, Rob is focused on strengthening Opta Group’s global operations, fostering innovation, and leading the company’s next phase of growth.

Jen’s career journey spans over 15 years in finance and management. Prior to joining Opta Group, Jen held senior finance roles at SunOpta Inc. and spent her early career in public accounting in the assurance and advisory practice at Deloitte. Since stepping into the Chief Financial Officer role, Jen has been instrumental in building enterprise value through optimizing financial performance, executing M&A initiatives, and driving business transformation. Her unwavering commitment to excellence, coupled with a business-first mindset, continues to propel Opta Group forward.

Mike leverages over two decades of leadership experience in the manufacturing and steel industries, with deep expertise in both operations and sales. Before joining Opta Group, he spent more than 12 years at Nucor Corporation in progressively senior operations roles. Since joining Opta Group in 2015 as Field Services Manager, Mike has taken on a series of leadership positions, culminating in his promotion to Chief Operating Officer in 2023. As COO, he plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, supporting strategic growth, and fostering alignment across Opta Group’s global teams.

Fernando brings extensive experience across legal, human resources, compliance, and corporate governance functions in complex and highly regulated industries. He joined Opta Group in 2024 to lead the company’s legal and people functions at a pivotal time of global growth. As Chief Legal & People Officer, Fernando has supported the expansion of M&A initiatives and the implementation of comprehensive compliance programs and processes.

Andre brings over 25 years of leadership experience across diverse industrial sectors, including oil and gas, mining and brewing, working with both publicly traded and global organizations. Since joining Opta Group in 2019 as CEO of Tecnosulfur, he has been a driving force behind performance improvement and strategic growth. In 2022, Andre joined the North American leadership team and was appointed President in 2023. He leverages his extensive background in business development, M&A and greenfield expansion to drive continued success.

With over 25 years of experience across diverse industries, from family-owned businesses to multinational corporations, Claudio has developed a broad and valuable skillset. He joined Tecnosulfur in 2020 as a Supply Chain Manager, quickly progressing into other key leadership roles. In 2022, he was appointed CEO of Tecnosulfur, demonstrating his strong leadership and strategic vision. In 2024, Claudio led the establishment of the Latin America division (LatAm), successfully integrating the Affimex Manzanillo plant under the LatAm structure alongside Tecnosulfur.

Franck joined Affival in 2011 and became a part of Opta Group in 2019, bringing with him extensive experience across process industries such as automotive, chemicals, copper, and pulp & paper. His background in both operational and executive roles within international organizations has been instrumental in shaping and executing Opta Group’s strategy in the region. Looking ahead, Franck is leading new development initiatives, both greenfield and strategic, to further strengthen our presence in the region.

Brent joined Carbide Industries in 2013 as Financial Controller and has since held several key leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, before being appointed President in 2023. Following Opta Group’s acquisition of Carbide Industries in 2024, Brent continues to lead the organization, leveraging his deep operational and financial expertise to advance growth and innovation.
